Your phone
Pair a phone to the session already running on your computer.
What this page covers
OutcomePair a phone, use the same session from it, and end the window deliberately.
Before you beginKeep your computer awake with Ginu running, and have your own phone to hand.
Follow these steps
Remote access is a time-limited window, not an account. On your computer, open Settings → Connections, choose a duration and press Open connection; the QR code and its passcode appear there and in Scratchpad.
Scan it with your phone and enter the passcode. Five wrong guesses burn that window deliberately, and an unused code expires — open a fresh one rather than retrying an old one. Restarting your computer also needs a new scan.
The phone then carries the same conversation, work and tasks in its browser. Answer a waiting decision, check a run, and hand it back: the window ends from the phone, from Settings → Connections, or with
/remote off.
Example
How is the audio-test investigation going? What needs me?
The phone shows the same work and the same tasks. Answer a waiting decision only after reading what the action would actually do.
A window with a clock on it
You open a connection for a duration: Settings → Connections on your computer, then scan the QR code and enter its passcode. There is no password to remember and no app to install — it is the same interface in a mobile browser, which is why any phone can take it.
The window is protected by being short and by being burnable: five wrong passcode guesses end it on purpose, and it does not come back. An unused code expires, and restarting your computer invalidates the pairing. In all three cases open a fresh window rather than retrying the old code.
A refresh, a tunnel or a locked screen does not end the session — the phone keeps trying for the rest of the window and picks up when the signal returns. Only a phone that stops answering altogether hands the microphone and speaker back to your computer. Stopping Ginu removes the thing the phone was talking to; nothing continues on the phone alone.

Notes
- Any phone works, because the route is a browser connection rather than an app to install. Native iPhone and Android apps exist but neither is published yet.
- Your computer is doing the work throughout. A refresh, a tunnel or a locked screen does not end the session — the phone reconnects for the rest of the window — but stopping Ginu leaves nothing on the other end.
Check
You can open a window, connect, recognise the reconnect state, and say what ends the session.
